Exhaustion Takes Over

Maybe I spoke to soon...

while I haven't been "sick" with morning sickness... exhaustion and "achyness" hit me hard Sunday night. My sweet husband was introduced to this with me waking up crying on Sunday night, because I was emotional and tired, but couldn't sleep. Along with this came a feeling of "sick" though I can't quite say it was nausea ... my body was overwhelmed. Of course, as sweet as my husband is, he rolled over and rubbed my back or held me as I woke up throughout the night - he is so good to me! I woke up Monday morning only to feel like I had been run over. I couldn't move I was so tired and achy, I felt "sick" and therefore, called in to work. Today I am back at work still feeling very foggy and sleepy but praying myself through the day.

Cody got me out of the house last night "for fresh air", so we went to dinner with my parents and then went window shopping for cribs. Cody is a window shopper... we will go on dates looking at the things we can not afford or would never really pay a lot for but we definitely appreciate them. When we finally decide to buy something, Cody likes to shop around for some time to find the best. Especially when it comes to this baby. So we are looking for cribs... We found a few we liked but Cody wants to make sure we get the best possible crib for the best possible price.

It is still kind of surreal shopping for the baby. Like we are playing house or something... but I am assured by many who have experienced this before me, that it will become real soon enough! My body is definitely trying to convince me lately.

Well, I appreciate your comments and your sharing our journey. We love you all!

The emotional side was the big clue for me that I was pregnant. I got so crazy at first, but it goes away after awhile. Can't wait to see that belly grow!

Ahh yes. It gets a little better after the first trimester, the exhaustion part. The hormones, well its just pregnancy and Im just glad I have something to blame it on :) Are your pants starting to feel tight? I can't wear most of mine. If I do its with a rubberband through the button hole! Shopping is fun. Yes I think it felt "REAL" when he was actually born :) We have to go get another crib since Gauge will still be in his. I got mine at Once Upon a Child but it was new. I really like it. It is one that converts from crib to toddler bed to headboard for full size bed. Have fun!
